Selepas
2 hari kesaksian, mahkamah Perancis telah memutuskan untuk tidak mendakwa ketua
Tabung Kewangan Antarabangsa, Christine Lagarde, atas tuduhan penipuan dan
penyelewengan dana awam. Pendakwa mengsyaki Lagarde menunjukkan layanan
istimewa apabila dia dianugerahkan seorang ahli perniagaan Perancis € 400 juta
untuk jualan Adidas sukan kepada sebuah bank milik negara.
After two days of
testimony, a French court has decided not to indict the head of the
International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, on charges of fraud and
misappropriation of public funds. Prosecutors suspected that Lagarde showed
preferential treatment when she awarded a French businessman 400 million euros
for the sale of Adidas sportswear to a state-owned bank.
