Torrential rain caused widespread flooding and
landslides in Austria on Sunday. Hundreds of people have been forced to
evacuate their homes. At least one person died in a mudslide in St Johann near
Salzburg, and two people are missing after being swept away in raging streams.
A flood alarm was still in place for the northern side of the Alps on Monday
morning, but the weather was supposed to improve throughout the day. Report by
