Tahrir? No, Taksim: Teargas, burning cars in Turkey recall Arab Spring



Sekurang-kurangnya 2 orang terbunuh dan lebih daripada 1000 orang telah cedera di Turki dalam protes dan pertempuran sengit dengan pihak polis yang telah berterusan selama beberapa hari sekarang.

Hampir 1000 telah ditangkap. Apa yang bermula sebagai aman terhadap rancangan untuk merombak sebuah taman di pusat bandar Istanbul telah melambung ke paparan seluruh negara marah terhadap kerajaan.

At least two people have been killed and more than a thousand people have been injured in Turkey in protests and fierce clashes with police that have continued for several days now.

Almost a thousand have been arrested. What started as a peaceful sit-in against plans to revamp a park in central Istanbul has spiraled into a nationwide display of anger against the government.
